Orozo Ait is a holiday celebrated in Kyrgyzstan. In 2024, Orozo Ait will be celebrated on April 10. 
Orozo Ait (or Eid al-Adha) is one of the two main Muslim holidays, which is celebrated at the end of the month of Ramadan. On this day, Muslims celebrate the end of their fast, which lasts during the month of Ramadan. Fasting this month is mandatory for all adult, healthy and ritually pure Muslims. During Ramadan, believers abstain from drinking, smoking and sensual pleasures.
Orozo Ait is a time of joy, gratitude and joint prayers. On this day, Muslims gather in mosques or in special outdoor areas to perform obligatory communal prayers. They put on festive clothes, taste dates or other sweets and say prayers.
In Kyrgyzstan, Orozo Ait is an official public holiday. On this day, morning prayers are held in all mosques of the country and on the Old Square in Bishkek. Representatives of State authorities and diplomatic missions also take part in these prayers.
Orozo Ait is a time when Muslims congratulate each other, show tolerance and mercy, as well as prepare national dishes and welcome guests. This holiday reminds of the importance of observing religious rituals and spiritual values.
It is forbidden to fast on this day if you wanted to make up for the missed day of fasting immediately after the end of the holy month.
On the day of the holiday, ait namaz is held in all mosques of the country and on the Naryn square. Ait namaz, or eid namaz, is a collective prayer performed by Muslims during the holidays of Orozo Ait and Kurman Ait. The exact time and place are set by the Spiritual Administration of the country's Muslims closer to the holiday.
The time for the beginning of festive prayers comes 30 minutes after sunrise. The term of the festive prayer expires with the onset of the lunchtime prayer.
